How do I view a photo's EXIF data?+
Drop the photo in and every field appears: camera, lens, exposure, date, GPS, IPTC and XMP. Nothing is uploaded; the file is read in your browser.
Do you upload my photo to read its metadata?+
No. Reading EXIF is a few milliseconds of work your own browser can do, so there is no reason to send the file anywhere. Open DevTools → Network and drop a photo: no request carries your image.
Why does my photo show no location?+
Usually location services were off, or the platform stripped it: Instagram, Facebook, X, WhatsApp and Discord all remove GPS on upload. No tool can read coordinates that are not there.

Can I edit the metadata here?+
This page reads. To add or correct a location use the geotagger, and to strip metadata use the remover. Both are free and both run in your browser.
